The contract was awarded to RHS by the Curry County Board of Commissioners on December 13th and will start on January 1st, 2023.  The new contract will provide comprehensive medical and mental health care to inmates at the facility. This includes emergency response, primary care, mental health services, and more.  “We are excited about this opportunity to work with Curry County and provide quality healthcare services to their patients,” says David Montoya, CEO of Roadrunner Health Services. “This is an important step forward in our mission to improve the healthcare of those residing in correctional facilities". RHS' goals directly line up with the[goals of the Curry County Detention Center](https://www.currycounty.org/departments/adult-detention-center) to provide "a safe, secure, and humane environment" for their patients. Together, RHS and the Curry County Detention Center will be able to make great strides toward improving the health services within the detention center.
